ABOUT US
A love of older style "beach shacks" led us to the Jervis Bay area 20 years ago when we bought our first weekender. The Jervis Bay area is only 2 hours south of Sydney and is famous for its white sand beaches, unspoilt nature and crystal clear waters.
What began as our weekend hobby has grown into South Coast Escapes, a collection of mostly vintage or heritage holiday rental properties, each with its own character and vibe. Each house has been renovated by us, keeping the "retro" feel of the old homes of the area. We use recycled building materials where possible and keep as much original materials as we can.

Who are we?
Rob is a qualified architect and heritage consultant who is passionate about adaptive re-use of old buildings. Catherine is a creative who has worked for big name glossies as well as in branding and advertising.
Where are our properties?
Our beachfront cottages are located in Currarong in the northern Jervis Bay National Park area, one of the most unspoilt places on the east coast of Australia! More recently, we have added two gorgeous country cottages in near-by Nowra to our rental collection. Audrey's and Ivy's are located in the heritage precinct near the Nowra Showground and hospital.
The BBC and History Channel's recent "COAST" TV series featured our cottages - with presenter Brendan Moar interviewing a local historian from our front balcony!

AVALON: It is a great house in a great location. It is opposite the main shop and next to the beaches. There are many different walks and beaches in the vicinity that are worth exploring. The house is very comfortable and stylish. My kids loved the bunk beds and my dog loved sitting on the deck and the walks on the nearby dog beach. We will be back!

IVY'S Nowra: A beautiful & lovingly renovated house in a very peaceful & elegant part of Nowra. The house is thoughtfully laid out & offers plenty of room for everyone to come together in the well appointed kitchen/ comfortable lounge area or to take advantage of the outdoor deck which features a bbq & a great backyard area. The bedrooms are well appointed & the beds are super comfy. There is an en-suite in the main bedroom with a great rain shower! The other 2 bedrooms share a huge family size bathroom complete with a free standing bath. I highly recommend this lovely home to anyone who is considering spending time in Nowra. What you see in the photos is what you get - you won’t be disappointed!
